About the Diet
How To Prepare:
What you will need:
Day One and Day Two: Time to Indulge!
During phase one of the hCG diet you are going to have a lot of fun!
Begin taking your hCG drops (10-15 drops, 3 times a day). Eat everything and anything you like. Make sure to include high calorie items such as milkshakes, creamy pastas and pizza. This will allow for your body to release fat stores and prepare you for the low calorie diet.
Day Three: Begin the very low calorie diet
Take 10-15 drops, three times a day 15 minutes before each meal
We encourage switching of meats and vegetables from lunch to dinner and suggest eating only one serving of red meat a day. For example, if you have chicken for lunch then have beef for dinner.
Lunch:
Dinner:
Snacks:
You are allowed one of the allowed fruits twice a day (apple, orange, handful of strawberries or ½ grapefruit).
Drinks:
Ensure you are drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day.
Unlimited amounts of black coffee and tea.
1 tablespoon of fat free milk a day (feel free to add this to your coffee or tea)
Maintenance Phase (begin 24 hours after the last drops were taken and continue for three weeks after the VLCD)
This could very well be the most important part of the hCG diet.
Throughout this phase you will begin increasing your calories to an adequate amount, if you are female 1200 calories and if you are male 1400 calories. We recommend individuals begin this phase by eating the allowed foods from the hCG diet and including an additional meal. We then suggest the reintroduction of regular foods while steering away from starches, sugars and carbohydrates. Foods to avoid include pastas, potatoes, rice, desserts etc. This can be an exciting phase for individuals as they are able to eat things such as eggs and cheese again.
We recommend you weigh yourself daily to ensure you are within two pounds of where you were when you completed phase two. This can be two pounds above or two pounds below. If for some reason you happen to go over the two pounds then we suggest a steak day where you eat nothing but a steak in the afternoon. If for some reason you go below the two pound mark then we encourage an additional meal.
Ensure you are getting enough protein by allowing yourself 400 grams of raw protein daily.
